Further workshops announced by the GTC and Quality Assured Training Providers

Following a successful run of golf club employerworkshops in 2011 and early 2012 further workshops are scheduled for 2012 and more subjects have been added to the programme.

Chairman of Green, Secretary Managers and in some cases their Course Managers have all enjoyed GTC organised workshops in recent times.  All workshops have been specifically designed to give employers and owners a better understanding of greenkeeping and golf course management.

The subjects now offered through the GTC and presented by its Quality Assured Training Providers are:

David Golding GTC's Education Director explained that feedback from employers attending workshops for Chairmen of Green had been a revelation. A healthy demand for more workshops has been uncovered and the GTC has now responded to that demand.

David added, "Course Managers have also benefited from these employer-focused workshops.  We are starting to see an improvement in communication and understanding now that key individuals at golf clubs have started to share more information and work together on course management policies".
