Gordon Huddy
It is with regret we inform you that Gordon Huddy, GTC Chairman 2001-2005 has died.
Gordon represented the R&A on the GTC from 1994 until he retired from the Committee in 2005.
David Golding GTC's Education Director says "Gordon was a true gentleman, one of golfs finest ambassadors and above all a great supporter of greenkeeper training".
Donald Steel GTC Chairman added, "I remember Gordon primarily as a fine golfer, Walker Cup player and England International. However, his sound knowledge of the game made him a valuable administrator. In particular, he gave guidance to the GTC at an important stage of its development although the lighter side of his nature never allowed his approach to be too intense or serious".
Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
