The GTC is leading the way in professional development, qualifications and training for golf greenkeepers in England, Scotland and Wales. We are here to help you find a successful career in golf greenkeeping and to advise Golf Club employers on the next steps to take to upskill their workforce.

Are you a school leaver, university graduate, an employee at a golf club or someone looking for a new career in golf greenkeeping? The GTC can help you find a course to develop your skills and further your golf greenkeeping knowledge. The Greenkeepers Training Committee has worked hard over the years to standardise greenkeeper training through consultation with the golf industry, providing qualifications sought by Golf Clubs.

You can choose to take a work-based route where you learn on-the-job whilst employed within a Golf Club, or you can decide to undertake an academic work-related course such as a Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma or a Degree level qualification. It's possible to mix and match the courses and add in short courses to increase your skills and take you further up your career path.

The GTC works closely with its supporters and Approved Training Providers to ensure there is something available for everyone. Whether you are beginning as an apprentice golf greenkeeper or perhaps you are a golf course manager looking to add more skills and knowledge as part of your professional development, the GTC can help and guide you on what your next career step will be!
